Chippingdale Cricket Club
Following the tremendous success of their 2010 tournament, Chippingdale Cricket Club are again hosting a “tenty 10ty” 8-a-side cricket tournament for Juniors to be held over the weekend of 19th, 20th and 21st August at The Rotary and Hillbarn Recreation Grounds, Worthing.
This is a unique event which proved to be great fun for youngsters where they play several short exciting games of cricket in a round robin tournament with trophies to be won.
This year Chipps are inviting teams from across the whole of Sussex to participate in this fantastic event, with each age group’s event taking place either over a morning or an afternoon.
As well as cricket matches there will be plenty of entertainment on offer with ‘come and have a go’ side shows (often with a cricketing theme, including measuring the speed you can bowl using a speed gun), hot and cold food and drinks, cream teas, ice creams, beer tent, cricket kit for sale, action photos etc.
Programme of events:
• Friday 19th August 2011: Evening - An adult game – Chipps v Sussex County SelectXI with Sid the Shark in attendance!
• Saturday 20th August 2011: Morning - Under 9’s and Under 13’s
