Curves Food Drive Supporting the Worthing Food Bank

Last year, the Curves Food Drive collected almost 5 million kilograms of food for local communities all over the world. This year, Curves has set a goal to collect 6.8 million kilograms to help even more people in need of healthy food. The three clubs in the Worthing are collected an amazing 1250 kg of food.

To celebrate the generosity of the community, Curves is  waiving the joining fee  for any new member who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries and want to join Curves  between April 1st and April 30th .

Others wishing to donate may drop off non-perishable food items at Curves Monday through Friday during business hours through the month of April.

“The Curves Food Drive promotion is always exciting,” said Rebecca Drew the owner of the 3 Curves Clubs in the Worthing area. “We have a chance to help so many people at a time when the food banks are lowest. It’s a win-win situation for everyone, and we’re very proud to participate.”

The Worthing Food Bank is a straight forward system of collection, collation and distribution of basic food items to support people at times of crisis. The Food Bank has fed several thousand people in Worthing and the surrounding area, since it opened in 2006. The Food Bank is there for anyone in short term crisis due to unexpected unemployment, benefit delay, debt, sickness etc…

Please help us to support the Food Bank – even if you do not want to join Curves you can just pop in with a bag of food and we will make sure that it get to the food bank.
