Gaisford Ward Policing - February News

The Local Priorities for Gaisford set by the Panel at the last meeting on 2ND DEC 09 are:

1.Parking on Corners – Dangerous parking on corners and Junctions

2.Anti Social Behaviour – Concentrating on those who are drinking and using drugs

3.Panel walkabout – To conduct a walk of the ward with the Panel.

 

The next Panel Meeting is being held on Wednesday 20th January 2010 at Sussex Sales and Lets South Farm Road, Worthing.

 

THEFT

01/12/2009 Vehicles were broken into in Lanfranc Road, Pavilion Road and St Anselms Road. Four males were arrested close to the scene but there was insufficient evidence to charge.

05/12/2009 Theft from Motor vehicle in Nutbourne Road – A Sat Nav was stolen Serial 507 refers.

09/12/2009 Vehicle interfered with in Bulkington Avenue – Nothing Stolen.  Serial 1116 refers.

09/12/2009 Theft from an Insecure vehicle in Queen Street. Serial 1898 refers.

11/12/2009 Vehicle broken into in Ivy Arch Road and a Radio stolen. A male was arrested and the property recovered, he is currently on Bail.

 

Gaisford has seen an increase throughout December with Thefts from Vehicle’s. Please keep all valuables locked away and not on view in your vehicle.

Please report any suspicious sightings and persons hanging around your vehicles with no reason.

 

BURGLARY

05/12/2009 Burglary to a flat in Northcourt Road – Offenders belived to have entered via a Bedroom Window. Serial 1419 refers.

 

09/12/2009 Burglary to a house in Gaisford Road – Offender believed to have entered through an insecure patio door, All goods were recovered close by.

 

EZE Computers in South Farm Road, Worthing has been subject to numerous burglaries and thefts since it opened in December.

Advise has been given on shop security

Serial 1272 02/12/09 two males entered the shop both White males aged 14 years, wearing casual clothing. One male described as having bowl cut hair. A grey Dell Latitude Laptop was stolen.
