Linda’s News for April
Davisons School
The Worthing Neighbourhood Care Alliance are joining with Davison’s Girls High School, Worthing for an Intergenerational Event. If you are 55+ and would like to join an Intergenerational Choir singing two songs at a Performance in June, we would love to hear from you. Please contact me on 07827278744 or Worthing Neighbourhood Care Alliance office on 01903 538904.
Our first ‘Cook & Eat’ class took place at Davison’s School on 1 March and it was a real success. Our three older volunteers enjoyed mentoring the six girls whilst making Chicken casserole. Ideas and experiences were shared and we all enjoyed the experience. If you would like to join us with one of our Intergenerational Events, please contact me.
St Andrews Boys School
As part of our Intergenerational work we are once again joining with St Andrews Boys School during 2010 and we would love anyone over 55 reading this to join us. St Andrews have invited us to join their walk to Cissbury Ring on 13 May and we are also planning an event to be held on 6 July which will include ten pin bowling and a picnic lunch. Why not come along and bring your friends. Please contact me on 07827278744 for further details.
Tai Chi
Guild Care’s popular Tai Chi class held at the Parish Rooms on Friday afternoons currently has free spaces, why not come along and try! This is an opportunity to exercise and meet new friends. Ring 01903 528600 to book a place.
Looking forward
If you are looking for a new activity that is not shown here, or to meet new friends in 2010 ring Worthing Neighbourhood Care Alliance on 01903 538904 for information and advice or look on our website at www.wnca.org.uk.
