Tea and Chat for men

In the last few years, I have met many older people who feel a bit isolated.
Some want to join a social club, some want to join an exercise group, some just want to make new friends after moving into the area.

During the last 18 months, Guild Care and the Neighbourhood Care Alliance have organized various ‘Tea and chat’ meetings.   These are opportunities to meet other like minded people, who just want to extend their circle of friends.

We gather the names of people living in a specific area, find a friendly location and get together a few times to get things started. After that, we leave people to keep meeting in the same place regularly or just ring the new friends they might have made during the sessions.

We have started a new group in the Thomas A Becket pub recently and I thought that there might be some men in Broadwater who might want to join us.

We will be meeting on the 2nd and 30th of November between 3pm and 4.30pm.
