Worthing Fire Station Open Day - Sat 24th July 2010, 10am-4pm
On Saturday 24th July 2010, Worthing Fire Station will be opening up it’s doors for the annual Open Day. This event, one of the largest in the South, usually attracts up to 6000 people. The event allows people to see behind the scenes of their Fire & Rescue service and what the role of a professional fire fighter entails.
The main theme of this year’s event will be to promote Home Fire Safety and our Road traffic Collision reduction scheme. Admission is free and some of the attractions during the day include:
Fire Fighting & Rescue Displays
Chip Pan Fire fighting Demonstrations, Fire Engine Rides, Fire Engine Simulator, Modern & Vintage Fire Appliances, ‘Barley’ the Fire Investigation Dog, Fire Engine Models, Fire Safety and Arson Reduction Advice, Road Safety Advice & Displays, Crime Reduction Vehicle & advice, Paramedic Ambulance, Sussex Police vehicles, Model Trains and Boats, Numerous Craft Stalls, Numerous Charity Stalls, Face painting, Bouncy Castles & Children’s rides, Bowling Alley, Plenty to eat & drink also
TV celebrity Tommy Boyd will also be joining us on the day.
