Containers & Baskets: Watering is necessary until the end of Summer, probably everyday once the plants are growing fast & flowering. Test the dampness of the compost & water accordingly. Rainfall is unlikely to help since the foliage will cause the rain to run off. Overnight soaking of the container will be required should it completely dry out. Apply a liquid feed every second week.

Asparagus: Fertiliser should be applied immediately after the final harvest, to encourage growth of the fern and production of nutrients to aid next season’s growth.
