Brushes Art Club
Wednesday 8th FebruaryThe Brushes Art Club was founded in 1984 by Roy West, a local Art Tutor. The Club is a member of the Worthing Area Art Group, whose committee consists of representatives from about eleven Local Art Clubs.
We meet most Wednesdays (excluding School holidays) at the Broadwater Parish Rooms opposite Broadwater Green. Sessions start at 7pm and finish at about 9pm with a break for coffee or tea.
The membership numbers 29 at present and there is room for a few more. New members would be welcomed. There is no level of experience required for entry, just a love of art. There is a wide range of age and experience in the Group … so friendly help is always on hand if required.
The sessions are usually “themed” and, although not compulsory (some have their own work to carry on with) most of us have a go at our version of the topic on the night, with some interesting results.
During the year we have several Demonstrations by well known Artists from the Southern Counties displaying their skill in a variety of mediums and methods. In the Summer months we have a schedule of Outside Venues to visit where we can draw, paint or just relax and take in the scenery.
For more information please call Alan on 01903 231134 or 07883 477597.
